Question: We have a remote location which will be connected to the main office using a VPN tunnel. What are your recommendations for using your product in this environment?

Answer: Yes, it is possible to run the software over VPN tunnels. We do not provide support for WAN or VPNs directly, as it is beyond our control. However, we have many customers who use various VPN solutions with success. As long as the network routing is configured correctly, and the server has TCP ports 1433 and 1434 open (for SQL server and SQL browser, respectively).
