Question:

How can we add a user logon for an auditor and give that user access to specific patient records?

Solution:

If you are licensed for QuicDoc by PC, you can add unlimited users:

1. Logon to QuicDoc with your System Administrator logon
2. Go to the Users View
3. Select Add a user from the taskpane or right-click on the user list and click New User
4. Enter a User ID, such as Auditor and a User name like Audit for the first name and Auditor for the last name.
5. Enter a password and click OK (Make sure the user is marked as Active)
6. Once added, select his user and click Set User Access Levels on the task pane
7. Go through all categories and give Read Only or No Access as needed. For instance, for Documentation, you will likely need to grant read-only access. However, for the Scheduler, an Auditor may not need access.
8. Go to the Patient view. For each patient, whose records need to be accessed by the Auditor, select the patient on the list, double-click to Edit or right-click and select Edit Patient.
9. Click the Access button to the right of the patient' provider.
10. Select Auditor from the list of providers and click Add. Then click OK to save.

If you are licensed by user for QuicDoc and do not have a user license available, you will need to free up an active user license temporarily.

1. Logon as the System Administrator
2. Go to the Users view
3. Select a user and make that user Inactive by right-clicking and selecting Make Inactive, or double-click to Edit and select Inactive radio button.
4. Follow Steps 3-10 above

Once you have created a user account for the Auditor, they can logon with this account ID and password you created to view the records of the specified patients. When they have completed the task, you can go to each patient and remove access to the Auditor account. open the Patient, click Access, select the Auditor account from the list of users who have access and click Remove. This will ensure that if you need to provide access to other patients at a later date, the auditor account will not have access to the first set of patients. You can then repeat the above process Steps 8-10 for the existing Auditor account.

If you are licensed by user you will need to Inactivate the Auditor account and Activate the user account whom you inactivated.\
