Software Upgrades vs. Software Updates

Confused about what constitutes an upgrade and an update?

Software upgrades generally contain major enhancements and new features. Upgrades change the software’s version number. An example would be upgrading Office Therapy from version 10 to version 11.

There is a fee involved in upgrading software, unless you are current on annual maintenance.  The fee is dependent on the version you are currently using.

Software updates repair features that aren’t working right for some users, provide minor enhancements, and can provide small changes to make the software easier to use.  Software updates can generally be automatically downloaded depending on the version number you are using.

EMDR Documentation Content in QuicDoc

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) content is available as an add-on in both our QuicDoc Professional and Enterprise Edition software. The flexibility of embedding EMDR documentation content in QuicDoc enables providers to capture and report information on EMDR treatment, as well as track patient progress. EMDR certified therapists who are current customers of QuicDoc can purchase EMDR documentation content for a nominal fee. Contact our Sales Department at 800-850-8510 for information.

I-STOP Legislation Makes Electronic Prescribing Mandatory

The New York State Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement has finalized its guidelines for providers and pharmacies to implement the Internet System for Tracking Over-Prescribing (I-STOP). Effective March 27, 2015, New York providers will be required to comply with the mandate to e-prescribe. 

EPCS Gold 2.0 allows providers to safely prescribe legend and schedule II-V drugs electronically through the same workflow, further streamlining the prescription writing process. 

EPCS Gold 2.0 builds on the current e-prescribing functionality within our QuicDoc Professional EMR Software and Enterprise Edition EHR Software, through our partnership with DrFirst. EPCS Gold is also available as a stand alone product for our Office Therapy Practice Management Software users.

Retiring Office Therapy Version 10

As of December 31st, 2014, DocuTrac will retire versions 10.0 – 10.0.40 of Office Therapy Practice Management software.  Services such as phone, email, fax, LiveHelp Support, data recovery, and password retrieval will no longer be available to customers using these versions.  We will still provide product registrations; however for some very early versions, it may not be possible. 

For Version 10 customers not current on maintenance:  Purchase Annual Maintenance for all of your software licenses, sign up for Maintenance Auto-Renewal, and receive the upgrade to our latest version FOR FREE!  This is a savings of at least $199.00!  If you are running a version older than 10, the upgrade fee is $99.00 during this promotion (all other conditions apply).

Thanksgiving Holiday Closing

DocuTrac offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday and Friday, November 27th and 28th, and will reopen on Monday, December 1st.
