Ransomware

According to Microsoft, the latest ransomware WannaCrypt, or more appropriately named WannaCry, targets out-of-date systems. Many therapists don’t have the time to keep their systems updated, unless they have the benefit of an IT staff. Running unsupported versions of Windows operating systems can prove to be costly and frustrating, since security updates are no longer available for some older systems. If you are running Windows XP, Windows 8, or Windows Server 2003, Microsoft has made a security patch available for download.

MedlinePlus® Drug Reference in QuicDoc®

MedlinePlus, developed by the National Institute of Health, provides a library of information on diseases, conditions, or disorders, medications, and lab tests for the public. The
library provides up to date and comprehensive information for patients, family members,
and professionals.

QuicDocProfessional and Enterprise Editions provide a context-sensitive,
direct link to MedlinePlus for the disorders or medications you enter. Using the
"Info Button", simply select the disorder or medication from the screen you are
using and you are directed to the latest information in the library.

Information on MedlinePlus can be displayed in English or Spanish, can be printed and given to the patient, or can be emailed.
