Mac computers have the ability to emulate a
Windows environment so that a Windows based program can be installed and run
right from your Mac. There are two ways this can be configured, and here are
some of your options:
1.
With the installation of
an emulation software, you can run both Mac and Windows simultaneously,
allowing you to access the Office Therapy and QuicDoc software and other Mac
programs at the same time. There are several different emulation software
programs on the market that can be used for this, including Parallels Desktop,
VMWare Fusion, and VirtualBox. We've included links to these at the end of this
article.
2.
Apple also has a product
called Boot Camp, which allows you to install Windows on a separate part of
your hard drive which excludes your Mac OS. Using this method will mean that
when you start your computer, you will need to choose between loading Mac or
Windows. With this method, you are better able to install and use peripherals
such as printers or external drives within your Windows environment.
Several other methods exist, and depending on your version of Mac you may have
more or less options available. These are the most generally accepted options
which several Office Therapy and QuicDoc customers are successfully using.
